Built on community

Diesel Gym Tokyo is a partnership between Diesel Gym (London) and IGS — two long-running, community-focused organisations that share the same goal: physical and mental health, discipline, and a real sense of belonging.

We currently focus on kids' classes, with one group for primary school students and one for secondary school and older — parents are welcome to join the older class with their children.

What we offer

Bilingual coaching

Classes are run in English with Japanese support, so kids learn martial arts and language at the same time.

Family-friendly

Parents can train alongside their secondary-aged children — making it as much a family activity as a class.

Real lineage

Coaching draws on 35 years of experience and a direct line to Diesel Gym in London, one of the UK's most established martial arts gyms.

Our partners

Diesel Gym (London)

Founded in 2008 by Cliff Bura, Diesel Gym is one of the UK's most established MMA gyms and a non-profit Community Interest Company. Its Muay Thai roots go back to the London Sitnarong Camp opened in 2003 under Grandmaster Sken Kaewpundang. The gym operates HQ at Royal Docks and a second site in Woolwich, training Muay Thai, 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, wrestling, and S&C.

IGS Academy

IGS runs "English P.E." — physical education classes delivered entirely in English, used by several Tokyo international schools. Their philosophy is to build communication skills, cross-cultural understanding, and confidence alongside athleticism. Diesel Gym Tokyo extends that philosophy to martial arts.
